For the owner or office manager of a service business with a handful of technicians, who is dispatching from a whiteboard, a spreadsheet or a phone and cannot say at four in the afternoon what tomorrow looks like.

Not for a business whose customers come to a premises to be seen at an appointed time, not for route planning a delivery fleet, and not for anybody looking to compare named field service products against each other.

Work out what your own week is worth

A calendar records what somebody intends to do; a schedule has to survive a technician running ninety minutes long on the first call, a customer who is not home, and a parts run nobody planned.

Dispatchzo holds the board the day is actually worked to: the job, the technician assigned, the window promised, and the work order, estimate and invoice the job leaves behind when it is done. The three worksheets below are free and answer the questions that usually start this off.

Free to use. No account, no card, no sign-up.

Everything a dispatched day has to answer for, kept in one record

The board

Every job, with the technician on it

A day without names against the jobs is a wish list. On the worked example we publish, 6 technicians at 5.2 jobs a day is a ceiling of 31.2, and every job booked past it is a phone call somebody will make later.

The window

What you promised, and whether you held it

On the worked example we publish, 22% of the working day goes on travel, which is 144 jobs a month worth $41,081. A window you can hold is the difference between clustering work and driving past customers.

The paperwork

The work order, the estimate and the invoice, on the job

The document written at the address is accurate and the one written that evening is a reconstruction. Keeping both on the job that produced them is what stops the office retyping everything the vans did today.

Do you need a full trade practice suite instead?

If you want the schedule plus parts inventory, purchasing, payroll, marketing automation and a customer portal in one system, buy a trade suite: that is what they are for, they do it properly, and they are priced and implemented accordingly. Dispatchzo is four things, the customer, the job, the assignment and the paperwork it produced, at one price for the team. If the list on the right is what you actually need, the suite is the honest answer.

What you pay for

Dispatchzo: One flat price for the whole team, $69 a month, everything included

A per-technician trade suite: A price per technician per month, tiered by module, often with an onboarding fee

What it covers

Dispatchzo: The customer, the job with its technician and window, and the work order, estimate and invoice it produced

A per-technician trade suite: All of that plus parts inventory, purchasing, payroll, marketing automation, customer portals and multi branch rollups

Before you buy

Dispatchzo: Three free worksheets that price your own day, your own no shows and your own maintenance program, with no account

A per-technician trade suite: A demo, a scoping call and usually a data migration project before the first job is booked

Getting your records out

Dispatchzo: Export every customer, job and document as CSV from the account page, any time, without asking

A per-technician trade suite: Varies. Ask what the export looks like before you sign, not after

Both are honest answers to different businesses. If you need parts inventory and payroll in the same system, buy the suite: we would rather you did that than pay us $69 a month for the half of it we do.
